Since we are using TXT records for compatability with older DNS
implementations (versus getting our own RR type) perhaps we should
simply think of not using _ for the same reason. When we get our own RR
type (or change our lookup mechanism in some similar way) the domain
names can change as well to be more consistent with newer conventions.
Though with a new RR, we'd be incompatible with most current DNS
servers.
With underscores, we only eliminate a small portion.
