Correctly parsing SPF macros is a pain in many languages.  I could see
advantages to using XML for that kind of parsing.

Could you translate something like the following SPF record for me?

      TXT   "v=spf1 exists:%{ir}.%{l1r+}.%{d} exp=error"
error TXT   "See http://%{d}/badmail?s=%{S}&i=%{I}&h=%{H}";
