A significant stakeholder is in favour of using an XML encoding for SPF.
How do you guys feel about that?
In my view XML is overrated and overused. It is good for (1) Document Markup
(2) The Semantic Web. I almost screamed when they started using it for
communications protocols (eg SOAP) and this suggestion falls into the same
category.
Encoding/Obfuscating SPF records as XML is just insane. Why on earth would you
want to do it?
