I'm not personally aware of any contact form

<http://www.spf-help.net/contact.html>  I consider pages with
"contact forms" _instead_ of a simple mailto link as a personal
insult. These "contacts forms" _never_ work. Of course I try
to avoid them like hell unless I "must" use them. And that's
exactly the moment when I'm most pissed off if they don't work,
as always. Even the amazon.com "contact forms" are a personal
insult. Normally amazon sets the standard in all "visible with
any browser" issues, but "contact forms" are a royal PITA.

I fully agree with you, and you'll note that www.spf-help.net isn't my
site =D.

Well - you tell me a totally harvesting-proof method of
exposing your e-mail
address and I'll use it - or show you how to harvest it ;-)

What about putting the wording of email address into an image, with sufficient
"noise" to make it
nearly illegible, but nearly immune to OCR. (Note that I am not aware of any
harvesting tools using
OCR yet, given it is so cpu intensive and the mass volume of images one would
have to sift to find a
scant few email addresses, but just in case they do the noise would help to
reduce the success).

One can even get tricky with an image with noise that also contains the
distraction text:

<beginning of image>
To contact X please use the email address from below:
garbage      myname        garbage
  garbage someatrepresenation garbage plus traps e.g.
spamtrap2(_at_)spamtrapdomain2(_dot_)com garbage
garbage      mydomain.com          garbage
The email address is embedded in the middle of the image
Please note do not use spamtrap(_at_)spamtrapdomain(_dot_)com
<end of image>

Granted, every lock that has a key also has a pick. But I think the pick for
this one is:
a) not made yet
b) probably not worth making it

Spammers are also smart (sorry). They know that if someone goes to this much
effort to hide from
spammers, the spammers probably don't want the address because if they do spam
to it then the
recipient will probably be agressive with a swift and severe response to
prevent future spam (such
as researching the source and hounding isp's, submitting to blacklists, product
boycotting, etc)

As spammers are pushed harder, they will try harder, and
obfuscation of
e-mail addresses on websites is fairly easy to overcome.

Agreed

If you want to send me the email address, I will be happy to generate an image
for you, which you
can use or not as you see fit.
