Sort of, but not really in the same way, no. I have never encountered a
situation where the _forwarder_ adds this kind of crap. It's often done
by mailing lists, and it's occasionally done at either the source or the
final destination, but it's extremely rare for it to be done in the
middle. 

So the world needs to co-operate by continuing to operate the same way
it already does. That's somewhat different from needing to co-operate by
adopting some hare-brained rewriting scheme to make someone else's
flawed assumptions come true.
