"local part length limit 63" (64).
It's 63 characters, due to the DNS domain label length limit
of 63 chars.
64 is the (smallest) limit for local parts, 63 is the (real)
limit for labels,
I've no idea what you wanted to discuss about these limits,
but if it's related to per-user-policies you might have dots
in the local part resulting in more than one label.
Unrelated, Bruce found the first potential bug:
----
ok.: | standard dotted-quad format.
At minimum, needs a normative reference.
(to Wayne: please fix this in -02, e.g. <dotnum> in STD 10)
----
Checking something about an imaginary bug I found another bug:
----
(to Wayne: please remove '"exp" counted' in 10.1 - throwing
a PermError after the result is clear is rubbish)
