I strongly disagree. I think wikis have shown that the vast majority
of people are very reasonable and do a good job of editing stuff, if
they can.
Uhh, and I thought Wikipedia had recently begun to recognize that their
dream of everyone being nice was just that, a dream.
"Wiki wiki" means "quick" in Hawaiian, not "free-for-all".
I think there are enough people around who will monitor the SPF wiki that
vandalism won't be a big problem.
I think you're underestimating the problem of the SPF website being a
potential target of spammers and other identity forgers who have learned
how to spam message boards and blogs these days.
I think the lack of progress on the new website is *FAR* more of a
problem than any "quality assurance" problems we might have.
I thought that was why the "old" website hasn't been turned off yet.
If the lack of progress on the new website is due to a lack of the time we
are willing to invest (which is undoubtedly the case), then I /don't/ want
to see what happens when the website gets vandalized.
