This is how I'm leaning.  I also see a rough concensus in that
arguments against the appeal are aiming to stem potential losses -
i.e. a retreat strategy.  Arguments for the appeal are aiming for
technical sanity and justice.  In a physical battle, retreat
is sometimes the better part of valor - when you can regroup as
a guerilla opposition to the evil empire.  In this case, we can
still do that - even in a worst case outcome.  

One this is clear, win or lose the appeal, our success depends on
out-marketing M$ - they won't care about RFC status.  The website will be of
prime importance to countering the myths and FUD.  And the best marketing
of all is adoption.
