I'm forwarding a submission from the contact form (I anonymized it because
the submitter requested confidentiality) that troubles me. Obviously he
does not understand that it is _his_ISP_ (canada.com) who is "controlling"
him, but that's not the matter. What is the matter is _how_ could he have
mistaken us (the SPF project) for BELL NEXXIA?
Did he get a bounce from canada.com with the "why.html" link and thought
this was a page run by the recipient's ISP?
Does anyone think it would be a good idea to add a visible note to the
"why.html" page explaining that "we are not associated with any ISPs, not
yours, and not the recipient's" (or something to that effect)?
Julian.

Why do you make it so difficult for two people working on a charitable
fund raising event together, to communicate with one another? The
internet was designed to work in an efficient and simple manner and
worked just fine until companies like BELL NEXXIA decided to change the
rules and police usage.

WHAT IS THIS CRAP??? Rather than me contacting my ISP to accomodate your
constraints, I'll do my utmost to convince my contact (and other
Bellnet.ca customers) to change ISPs. Will you people at Bell every learn
that you're no longer the monopoly you once thought you were? Please stop
trying to JAM your conditions down everyone's throat!! Thank goodness we
now have many other choices concerning land lines, cellular and internet
access. I sincerely hope that VOIP will be the final nail in your coffin.
You deserve it. No response is expected (not that you would through this
IP address anyway); as my chosen method of electronic communication seems
to be somewhat of a threat to the safety of other internet users. Loosen
the sphincter Bell and start respecting customers instead of trying to
control them. 'Nough said. I'll contact my friend by an alternate method,
and you can bet it wouldn't be by using any part of the Bell network
infrastructure.
