Stupid question, is it possible to have an <img> GIF within an <object>
PNG within an <object> SVG, and let modern browsers pick the best they
can do (SVG before PNG before GIF) ?
Even if it was possible, I wouldn't touch it for the life of me. ;-)
Look at the "mobile best practises" memo, it allows no PNG at all. I've
asked them three times if they're sure. Finally I was happy that they
at least allowed "unanimated" GIF89a instead of only GIF87 and JPG. If
the "mobile best practises" checker is ready I hope that why.html passes.
