P.S. On Greg's point that "no one has objected to the Real headers". I
would point out that I said "Nor do I think the Real headers will
be regarded as satisfactory [by the Europeans et al.]". This was intended
to be a strong objection. However it is rather spooky conducting this

OK, here's a European voice. :-)
I think that names of people and their addresses should be kept
together, not in separate header lines. Am I the only one that sends
off replies only after checking and possibly editing the To: and Cc:
header lines? Sometimes addresses are really cryptic, so it's nice to
have the names of the people right there next to the addresses.
Perhaps RFC-XXXX message headers will not be edited directly by the
user, but is it possible to ensure that the names in Real-Cc: can
always be matched correctly with the addresses in Cc:?
