Believe me, I tried when they were working on 5321, but was roundly
shouted down, evidently because the handful of existing MTAs on
IPv6 make it "too late" to change.
Do you think a political campaign that resulted in - say - all UK
educational establishments, or all .gov.uk domains (or both) implementing
such a rule would change their minds? What if Google also implemented the
rule.
