Pro: Rejecting messages with errors in the SMTP commands will
eliminate most spam.
The Pro argument isn't true.
Have a look at http://archive.iecc.com/article/spamtools/20050223008
or any page about greylisting. Even if the spammers' commands are
correct, other aspects of their SMTP implementations appear to have
certain defects.
no doubt. but that doesn't mean that stricter checking will eliminate
most spam.
