It depends on the type of argument you want to make and then you
count people different. You count Harald as someone who comes from
Norway. The author of the slide deck wanted to make a different
argument and so he sees Harald as a person working for Google, as
US-based company.

I know Harald. He is from Norway. There is nothing more to say than that.


And I am a UK citizen and I work for a company where most of the senior
management are British. But from the point of view of most governments
concerned about 'Diversity' we count as US.

One of the reasons that the Web is so heavily US based is that it was the
only country with suitable existing infrastructure where most of the
pioneers could get visas to work.
