country as "strange and odd", without having visited such country in the

Particularly so when this mode of travel was the norm for us in Europe
until very recently and the difficulty of getting into the US for
non-US citizens is still much harder than for US citizens to visit
most countries.
I have had long discussions with border guards as they ask why my
passport has entry stamps but no corresponding exit stamps
