May people are under the misunderstanding that you can't delegate
anything smaller than a class C (aka a /24). You can, but it does
require playing some tricks with DNS. See RFC2317 for details:

Thanks--I wasn't aware of that myself. I'll give it a shot, though
last time I talked to the ISP the response was along the lines of "we won't
do it because we don't want to" (see my previous post about lack of
competition).
