So sayeth ICANN, so implementeth the registries. WHOIS data must be
current and factual.
Exactly - and an excellent example of how the system doesn't work. I
personally know of lots of domains registered with wrong details, and there
is no check-up. .uk registry send out a piece of paper to the registered
snail-mail address with a secret code for you to confirm the registration on
their website, but if you don't do it - they don't take any action! This
always seems to come round to the same issue of enforcement - which just
doesn't happen. :-(
