Which is exactly what the majority of the council thinks too, so you
are not alone. :-)

Although this should not be taken "ex cathedra" (as if spoken for the
entire council), as one of the people on the council, I currently operate
under the model of de facto having severed the SPF ties to Microsoft.

SPF relates to SenderID in, say, the manner in which DNS relates to BIND:
the latter is ostentatiously dependent on the former, but the former in
ZERO ways dependent on the latter. And that really sums it up nicely.

And although I am not easily offended, lol, that text is certainly long
overdue for removal.
