Is the IETF going to decide that traffic/protocol attacks on the
network infrastructure are outside of the scope of technical
solutions? Are there not existing technical methods which can address
the problem?
If the IETF is to make such a decision better it be done now so we can
go to another forum which will address technical solutions. We can start
an OASIS working group in 7 days.
It would be best if we can avoid unnecessarily fracturing the standards
making process for the Internet.
Don't underestimate the pressure this is creating in the ISP community.
