But obviously IANAL
Folks,
This is supposed to be an engineering list for the development of an IETF
standard pertaining to message authentication. When there is a
proposal/specification in front of us, there will be something to talk about.
The recent flurry of activity has very nearly nothing to do with facts. As
nearly as I can tell, it has been filled with nothing but conjecture, followed
by assessments based on the conjecture.
As much entertainment as such fantasizing might afford some folks, fantasy
fulfillment is not a goal of this list.
So it would be really helpful if folks would wait to react to reality, rather
than anticipating and reacting to a possible reality that well might not -- and
probably won't -- happen.
As for everyone else... please don't feed the trolls. The only way for a silly
thread to die is to for it to be ignored.
