I would agree that this should be 'Experimental'.
I'm moderately in favour of such an extension, because in our case it
shouldn't be that hard to implement, and may help, but I'm not convinced
how important it is. As it isn't (or shouldn't be) that complicated, I'd
like to see something, but am not sure whether it warrants standards
track yet.
