Re: Explain please

David,

Again, you fail to READ the entire message. In this case, I am using
Outlook 2000, 9.0.0.2711. Had you opened the header of the message, you
would have seen the type of client I am using.

The message appears with the SAME information in Outlook 2003 and several
other e-mail clients, but only when you OPEN the entire message into a new
window. While the fact that my (and millions of other clients) is
"concocting" the FROM line, it contains valuable information regarding the
SENDER and FORWARDER of the message.

This may be a Microsoft anomaly, but it is indeed fact and there are
millions of Outlook clients or in use throughout the world - all showing the
same thing when the message is fully opened.

This is also reflected below, under the "-----Original Message-----"
delimiter, but without your entire e-mail address.

Incidently, here's the complete header of the most recent message I received
from you:

Please, get the facts correct before you respond to future messages.

As for the other information, that has been routinely shared in open
messages in the Imail and other lists in the past. It is public information
that is freely available on the internet.

Like others on this list, this will be my last response to you. I will not
get into a debate about operating systems. We support all of them, Linux,
Microsoft, Mac OS X, etc.

If you obviously don't want either to learn, or the help, we're all wasting
our breath (keystrokes) and have better things to do.

Good luck,
Bruce Barnes

Woodhouse

Bruce, please don't just repeat yourself -- look at the headers of the
mail, and read RFC2822.

As I already told you, your own mail client is concocting the line you
quoted above. That isn't how it appears in the email. I assure you that
the From: header of the email makes no mention of listbox.com.

The email explicitly says that _I_ am the author of that mail which
refers to http://spf.pobox.com/

Thanks for pointing out the missing nameserver glue. I was sure I'd
fixed that after ns2.infradead.org was moved back to its permanent IPv4
address, but evidently I had not. I'll even poke the registrar again
about IPv6-only nameservers, so that ns0.infradead.org can be added
properly, if it'll make you happy. Did you mean to do that on-list
though?
