Just add back the "reverse path" using SRS (ugly, but the only option
other than going back to the deprecated reverse paths - which I
actually favored), and forwarders are once more responsible for what they
forward.  Problem solved.

It's often easier to solve problems by tossing out features many
people don't use.  However, when many other people do use the
feature(s) you would sacrifice, such disregard for their needs is a
tremendous barrier to building any consensus.  You may have noticed a
lot of resistance to SPF, and you might consider why that is.

Yes, but 1123 tossed out an important feature (reverse paths), and
they weren't even solving a problem - just creating one.  All
SPF is trying to do is get back that important feature.
