cleaning up after one of those today, in fact. in danish. appends a
message to whatever is sent it, doesn't rate limit to any given
address, and strips headers, so our no-loop protection is removed. I
didn't catch it until we had about 30 of them, all > 3 megs in size,
romping through the system.
Our server will be back to normal about midnight, I think. maybe.
running e-mail systems is so much fun. The only thing you can depend on
is that standards will be ignored on a regular basis by people who do
what they feel like doing. something to keep in mind as we draft new
standards and expect everyone to follow them.
