The fact that 2/3 of TLDs that list an MX are publishing broken data is a
possibly relevant point as well. That certainly speaks to ICANN's
"requirement" that only certain record types will be permitted - it certainly
looks like there's a high probability that (a) the new TLDs will publish
violating RR types and (b) won't bother checking that they're even "right".
