Analogy time: you run a small business that keeps getting broken

One day, you leave something at work, and go back for it at 9pm.
You are arrested.
unfortunately, there are no spf documents that specify proper usage. as of
now, spf is put forward as being appropriate for everyone to use all the time.
this is like telling the police to arrest anyone who is ever found on the
premises at any time.
so,
it really would be helpful for the spf community to document proper and
improper usage of spf.
it would make discussion about its role far more productive and precise.
