You've been living on high-speed connections for far too long. Email is a world-wide system, and HDTV internet bandwidth is a fantasy for most people, even in the U.S.. And has already been discussed on this list, bandwidth is becoming a significant problem. I have no desire to spend an extra $100/month just to handle the spam I'm bouncing from my server, but that's where spam is forcing me to go.

I'm not saying that your priorities are off with regards to bandwidth vs. time. But that doesn't mean that you can just ignore the bandwidth problem.

I'm not sure which upsets me more: that people are so unwilling to accept
responsibility for their own actions, or that they are so eager to regulate
everyone else's.
