Overall, the queue retry seems to be the one thing that qmail has over
sendmail -- qmail has exponential backoff, whereas sendmail just tries
once an hour (or whatever). So a sendmail client may take an hour to get
mail to a server that does graylisting. Not fast enough for me or my users.
Sendmail can be configured with multiple queues (each running a
progressively longer retry period). An ISP I work for is set up this
way. Sure, it isn't an out of the box configuration, but it's pretty
straightforward sendmail queue stuff.
