readability and inflate the size of a record for no gain other than
buzzword-compliance.
Sounds like a quite impressively daft plan. Nothing else in DNS uses
XML, as far as I'm aware.

Erm, could you explain the login of that syntax? I see no way for the
stated record to be encoded in that fashion.
