If you can not afford $500 a year then you cannot afford to run a domain or
a mailserver.
My reason for this is it takes more than $500 a year to keep up with the
technology of running as GOOD SECURE mail server.
LOL. Average salary in Russia/Ukraine are 80 USD. It's over 6 month full-time
salary for administrator.
But securing your mail-server requere at most 1-2 days of configuration.
(I know one person who use virtual servers with automaticaly nightly-updated
FreeBSD sources,
all services binded to 127.0.0.2, 127.0.0.3 IPs only and passed over local PC
firewall,
I believe his server is secure ;-)
Mail traffic for little domain (5-10 users at most) will be less than 1Gb = at
most 90 USD.
One time investement of 200-250 USD in cheap router with Linux does not count.
So how much it cost for you ?
