A followup suggestion to my earlier suggestion. If you're nominated but
don't choose to stand, you can state your approval to the voting proposal
of your choice anyway. If we can get to 51% (or hopefully 67%) of those
nominated, I think we can consider that a mandate to get on with it.
Answer YES to multiple proposals if you feel they are all good enough for
our purposes. If you answer NO to a proposal, please take the time to say
something constructive so that we can work toward YES.
I believe John is intending to start the voting process later today
regardless, which is fine with me. Please reply to the proposals people
have made anyway - even if we have already started, it will be a good
indicator as to the legitimacy of the process and the consensus of the list.
(Again, people who weren't nominated shouldn't feel excluded from
commenting -- it's just that getting a majority of the list at large will
be impossible, so hopefully those you have all nominated to lead can be
considered as a healthy representative sample :)
